Scholarships

Endowed scholarships put a PAFA education within reach for qualified students, and sustain PAFA's vision of being an inclusive, creative community of artists and audiences seeking education, contemplation, inspiration, and dialogue.

Special Exhibitions

Special exhibitions at PAFA expand the narrative of American art and history to highlight previously-excluded voices, with a particular focus on women and artists of color. Highlighting our world-class collection, exhibitions reflect on, engage with, and respond to three centuries of American art tradition, furthering scholarship in the field and inspiring visitors from across the country and around the world.

Alumni Giving

Giving to the Alumni Annual Fund supports the next generation of great artists as well as the teachers who encourage and inspire them. Many of the things PAFA alumni loved about being a student would not be possible without contributions to the Alumni Annual Fund, which the school draws upon frequently to address its most pressing needs—such as student scholarships, faculty sabbaticals, academic resources, and more.

PAFA First

For more than two centuries, the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts has played a pivotal role in defining the future of American art. To ensure that PAFA will continue to be a leading force in collecting and exhibiting American art, educating artists, and engaging the public, we have embarked on a transformative capital campaign.

Gifts of Art

Collectors may make gifts of art; these gifts are reviewed by the Museum Director’s office and subject to approval by PAFA’s Collections Committee.

Planned Giving

A planned or deferred gift is one that is arranged during one's lifetime, but the benefit to PAFA is deferred to a future date. Bequests, charitable remainder trusts, IRA plans, retirement plans, life insurance plans and gifts of art are all ways to support PAFA through planned giving.

Tribute & Memorial Gifts

Tribute and memorial gifts offer a meaningful way of honoring a loved one, family member, or colleague. Celebrate a special occasion, honor a memory, or pay tribute to someone special in your life by making a tax-deductible gift to PAFA that will make an immediate impact of promoting the transformative power of art and artmaking.

Donors will receive a letter of acknowledgement, along with the option of having a letter of notification sent to the honoree or relevant family members.
